Here the ghans that were sent to Ohio for Project Rest Assured. This is a charity that makes ghans for children in foster care. We feel that as the children move around in the system, changing families, homes, school settings, neighborhoods we feel there is one thing that is theirs and can comfort them. I guess everyone needs a security blanket
Enjoy them. they were assembled with love

All of the ghans look fantastic Kelly. Nice work.
Great job!
Kelly,
My name is Robin Ott and I am Outreach Coordinator at Adoption Network Cleveland. Our agency serves all those touched by adoption and foster care, and one of our programs, Camp CONNECT, was the recipient of these afghans!!!
The youth that recieved these blankets were between 13-17, all at risk of "aging" out of the system in a few years. Being teenagers, we were not sure if they would be as excited about a ghan as a younger child. However, we soon found out that ALL children, no matter how old they are, need their "blankies". Both boys and girls spent the week carrying them around when they were in the cabin, wrapped up in the comfort of a very special gift.
I cannot thank you and the other members enough for making these ghans. When I "bumped" into this blog, I could not believe my eyes -- I saw a few of these all week, and even have a picture from that week of one of them on a bunk that will be included in our next newsletter.
I'd love to send you a copy... please email me your name/address and I will make sure you get one!!!
Thanks again,
robin ott
