Sooo Sorry

View Image I can not believe it has been over a year since the last posting on the blog,
Much done in the year craft wise and also personally. Just finished Thanksgiving with the last of the Turkey in the fridge....might be one more sandwich and I think there is a bit of pumpkin pie.

This past year I have grown in my knitting had wonder friends encouraging and with the help of Ravelry found many more patterns then possible to knit in my life time. I think by the time I finish them the styles will be over and new ones come and gone.......similar to the matching black cowboy shirts I was making my husband and I back in the 80's......yes with the fringe!!!! lol. Found the shirts cut out with the pattern pieces still pinned to them.....
Eldest daughter is now driving and has purchased a vehicle. Spent the first day driving around putting loads of miles on it.....ahh to be young and no responsibilities.

Youngest daughter is exploring her world around her looking for her nitch, sometimes I shudder at her choices and wonder why .... but this is her life that needs to explored.

Husband and I are still working at the same places and fingers crossed will make it through this hard economic times. Too many horror stories out there, I just pray that this is the bottom of the hill that we rolled down.

So as the year comes to a close and many projects get tucked away as gifts I thank all my friends near and dear and those in cyber space a blest and glorious holiday season.

October WHAT????

Well who took September??? Where in the world did it go?? I have nothing to show for it.....okay I do, but I have been so busy I do not have any pictures to share.
The leaves are changing, the day light is getting shorter, and the evenings cooler. I suppose that is the natural order, I know that this is only the beginning of the long winter that is head.

Someone sent an email to me regarding life is similar to the changes of the seasons. I am trying to figure out where I am in the seasons.........late summer, early fall or even later in the fall season???? I do not like to face the fact that I am getting older, I wonder where the time has flown, I remember when I was younger that the age I am slowly approaching was getting old. Now I am here I need to rethink, funny how we do trully learn as we get older.

I am almost postive that I will be writing "where in the world did October go??"

Enjoy the fall and changing leaves, the crispness of air, the sound of leaves under foot. The smell of leaves & wood burning in the neighborhood.

End of August ............Already??

Well here we are at the end of August 2009 and it is a bit chilly. Working on scarves, mittens and winter hats totally is practical today :-P It also draws a close to summer nights with fire flies, moths and butterflies. The smell of sunshine on the laundry that has hung on the line to dry and the sounds of neighbors lawn mowers in the evenings, the sun going down close to 9 pm and the sound of kids playing outside until 10 pm.

Yes, I know that September still has some great days ahead but the knowledge of summer ending and fall creeping around the corner makes me think that soon the snow will fly and we will be stuck inside with windows closed and dreaming of warmth and fresh air.

Thank-you Lord, for a wonderful summer - even though people say it wasn't warm enough and the kids proclaim not long enough, but it is here for a reason....to remind us that this is what we long for in the middle of winter while shoveling snow.

I did not even make 11 days.....

Well I did not make it, my objective was to take a picture every day and post it. well I made it 10 days...and even then I cheated and took a couple pictures and then posted them on different days or posted more than one picture per day. I can not keep up with it, first part is trying to figure out what to take a picture of.........

Another topic, I got to see a play that I have been wanting to see for a very long time. Last year it was Lion King and I took my Mom & the girls as a Christmas gift. This year for Mother's day I received a ticket to see Phantom of the Opera......

I really was excited to go, and last night was when we used the tickets. The songs, the stage, costumes, scenes and not to mention the sound.....Man it was everything I was hoping it was, we had great seats a couple of rows from the stage. I had seen the movie once before going to see it (shortly before mothers day) my sister had seen it with Mom a few years ago and she has the video (I thought she mentioned 3 of them) and during intermission my sister who also got a ticket for mama's day belted out singing......she got the ladies behind us to laugh, she also was belting out in song afterwards in the parking garage, because the echo was perfect. I had a very good night and was too excited to go to sleep after I got home, I felt it today at work a bit sluggish especially looking at the screen all day.

Thank you Ami for a great evening I trully enjoyed myself ........smoochies

Aug 9

This is my hubbies walking stick, he tends to make an appearance around Halloween when hubby is dressed as death, otherwise he sits in the corner of the bedroom by the small window, somehow I see him every morning as I walk by. Poor guy is ignored by the owner.
